Many people today think that there are many ways that lead to heaven. But there is one way and that is through Jesus Christ. He is the only way. It is not through doing good deeds or through priests or other people. It is through faith in Him. Trust in Jesus and you will be saved. That is what Jesus is trying to tell the people of His day (and us). The priests had added many traditions in addition to the law, but they didn’t get it. God wants a relationship with us. He wants our hearts. That is why Jesus came. To pay for our sins and offer a relationship with Him so that we may be saved. All roads do not lead to heaven. It is a narrow road through a narrow gate in which Jesus is the door.Continue reading “The Narrow Way”
Are you prepared for the day when Christ returns? Let us be prepared for that day. Jesus says to watch and be ready. How do we do this? First, trust in Jesus. Those who follow Him will be saved and have eternal life. Second, live for Him. Our actions should reflect that we are His followers. Third, tell others. Do those around you know that you are a believer? Do they know about the gospel?Continue reading “Prepare for the Master”
It is not too late to be forgiven. The thief on the cross asked Jesus for forgiveness hours before his death and He granted it. He realized his sin, confessed it before God, and repented. He knew there was nothing he could do to earn it. Only by trusting in Jesus. And that is what he did. Jesus offers everyone a chance. We are all like these thieves. We are all guilty. The question is which thief do you want to be?
Jesus says He is the door to His sheep. He is also the gate, the way to salvation. He is the gateway between this world and heaven, between this life and eternal life, between us and the Father. Continue reading “I AMs…The Door, The Gate”
In my last post, we discussed the Day of the Lord and what it is. Jesus will return one day. No one knows when, but when He comes, He will come quickly. Many will not be prepared. We need to watch for it with anticipation and be ready for His coming. Many want to be prepared for the tribulation by storing food and other survival essentials, but I want to focus on being spiritually prepared for Christ Himself. The Bible talks about the church, the body of believers, is the bride of Christ. Are we pure and clean and ready for the groom to come and take us in? The wedding feast is prepared. He invites us to the feast. He is coming for His bride on that glorious day. Continue reading “Watch and Be Ready”
