Prepare for the Master

Are you prepared for the day when Christ returns? Let us be prepared for that day. Jesus says to watch and be ready. How do we do this? First, trust in Jesus. Those who follow Him will be saved and have eternal life. Second, live for Him. Our actions should reflect that we are His followers. Third, tell others. Do those around you know that you are a believer? Do they know about the gospel?

Watching for the Day

Are you watching?  Do you know what to watch for? What are we looking for?  Why should we watch?  There will be a day when God will judge the earth.  Sounds scary, doesn’t it?  There will be seven years of tribulation that will be really bad here on earth.  Not the most encouraging news we could hear.  But, there will also be a day when God makes all things new.  When Jesus returns and takes us home.  When there will be no more tears, or sorrow or pain, no more disease or death.  No more evil.  For those of us who trust in Jesus and are children of God, it will be a glorious, wonderful occasion when we will be in His presence.  That is why we watch.  With anticipation.  Not with fear, but excitement! Watch and Be Ready

In my last post, we discussed the Day of the Lord and what it is.  Jesus will return one day.  No one knows when, but when He comes, He will come quickly.  Many will not be prepared.  We need to watch for it with anticipation and be ready for His coming.  Many want to be prepared for the tribulation by storing food and other survival essentials, but I want to focus on being spiritually prepared for Christ Himself.  The Bible talks about the church, the body of believers, is the bride of Christ.  Are we pure and clean and ready for the groom to come and take us in?  The wedding feast is prepared.  He invites us to the feast.  He is coming for His bride on that glorious day.
