Jesus’ ministry did not stop at the cross. In many ways it had just begun. Christ said, “It is finished.” Dying on the cross accomplished God’s goal. But part of the victory is conquering death so that we may be raised into eternal life. Without the resurrection, He was just another prophet. But Jesus is more than that; He is our God, our Savior, our Lord. He also had to prepare His disciples for their ministry. And He revealed Himself to many. One day He will return and reveal Himself to all. Continue reading “Events of Jesus’ Resurrection”
In following with the previous post, do we have enough love in us to share the gospel so that others know about the saving grace of Jesus Christ? Of who He is? Are we worried about what they might think? If we do not share the gospel with others, what does God think about that? Sometimes I am ashamed for not having the boldness to be a witness to those around me…family, coworkers, friends, people at the store, etc…etc… Often my actions are fair, but do others know that I am a child of God? As God has saved us and gave us new life, let us not hesitate to share what God has done for us. As believers, God wants us to spread the good news to all those around us. I often ask God for boldness for many times I encounter people I have a hard time on how to start a conversation about God. I need to remember to pray at that moment for God to give me boldness and the words to say. I need to have that heart to love someone enough to give that person every opportunity to know about Jesus and to have that grace God has given me . One of the devil’s schemes is to introduce fear, doubt, complacency into a believer to keep them from sharing. He has blinded many in this world from the truth and we need to unveil that truth and not hide the light.
2 Corinthians 4:1-6
Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart. But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus’ sake. For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
