Do you have the Fruit of the Spirit? Are you gentle? Looking at the Greek words for this, it also includes meekness and humility. This is not a weakness as some believe, but a strength. It’s easy to seek your own desires, but God wants us to put others’ needs before our own. How often do we do that?

Resurrection Sunday

Today we celebrate the most important day in history: Resurrection Sunday. The day Jesus Christ rose from the dead after dying for your sins and mine, after paying the full penalty of our sins, all of them, for everyone. All we need to do is accept that free gift of grace and mercy, trust in Jesus, and believe that this is true.

Events of Jesus’ Resurrection

Jesus’ ministry did not stop at the cross.  In many ways it had just begun.  Christ said, “It is finished.”  Dying on the cross accomplished God’s goal.  But part of the victory is conquering death so that we may be raised into eternal life.  Without the resurrection, He was just another prophet.  But Jesus is more than that; He is our God, our Savior, our Lord.  He also had to prepare His disciples for their ministry.  And He revealed Himself to many.  One day He will return and reveal Himself to all. We are God’s Watchmen

In following with the previous post, do we have enough love in us to share the gospel so that others know about the saving grace of Jesus Christ?  Of who He is? Are we worried about what they might think?  If we do not share the gospel with others, what does God think about that?  Sometimes I am ashamed for not having the boldness to be a witness to those around me…family, coworkers, friends, people at the store, etc…etc…  Often my actions are fair, but do others know that I am a child of God?  If not, shame on me!
