Jesus told a few different parables about someone inviting his friends to dinner. One was about those you would expect to go, but they made excuses, so others are invited. One was about a person’s pride who finds the best seats in the house until being humbled. One is about people making light of the wedding and even some being hostile towards those inviting them, and not being prepared for the wedding. I AM’s…The Resurrection
The next “I AM” begins with the story of Lazarus, one of Jesus’ closest friends. Lazarus became very sick, but it was time Jesus showed His power and glory and He was going to do more than heal. (spoiler alert!) He was going to raise him from the dead! Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life.
Salvation to the Jews
I am so thankful that God has allowed gentiles to be part of His kingdom. Salvation is offered to all. Although Israel has rejected Jesus Christ, there are still some who believe and God has promised a blessing to His Chosen People, Israel. Some tink the Christian church has replaced Israel, but that is not what the Bible says. God will always love them. He made a covenant with them. Jesus said that salvation is of the Jews.
