Son of Man, Son of God

Why does Jesus call Himself The Son of Man? What does this tell us about Him? As it says in John 1:2, “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.” Jesus is fully God and fully human. He is Emmanuel, “God with Us.” Jesus, Yeshua, “The Lord is Salvation.” He humbled Himself to become a man, born of a virgin, relatable, went through the sufferings and temptations that we go through, and He died for our sins, paid the price, and rose again to sit at the right hand of God the Father.

Rejoice!: The Fruit of the Spirit

What brings you joy? Do you have joy? It’s not the same as happiness. To me, happiness is a feeling based on circumstances. Joy is contentment regardless of circumstances. That is what Jesus gives us through the Holy Spirit. That is what He gave me. Though sometimes I just need to remember His goodness, listen … Continue reading “Rejoice!: The Fruit of the Spirit”

If your relationship with your earthly father was not great, you know there is a Father in heaven who loves and will never harm you. He is Almighty God who is powerful and strong, but yet gentle and kind. He is just and He is merciful. There is so much to Our Father in Heaven that is beyond our comprehension, that is indescribable. But one thing we do know is He loves us and wants an intimate relationship with us. So, who is God the Father?

Lazarus and the Rich Man: Heaven

In the third part of my post about Lazarus and the rich man (Luke 16:19-31), we will discuss heaven; what it might be like and the hope and assurance that those who love God and believe in Jesus Christ will spend eternity with Him there. What a great gift God has offered us, if we only accept it by believing and trusting in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
