Next in our series on what we should do once we are saved is to share that good news with others. We need to be a testimony for Jesus Christ, live in a way that people know we are children of God and invite others to have that gift that we received.
The key to following Jesus is love. Christ loved us so much He died for us and paid the penalty for our sins. While on this earth, He set an example for us; showing compassion, loving all, particularly the “unlovable”…in the world’s eyes, not His. We are to follow His example. Next on our list of how believers can grow in their faith is reading God’s word and spending time with our Lord.
How does God want us to live? Number 4 in our “We are saved…now what?” series. When we are saved, we are now apart from the world. We are a new creation, we have been set free, God has a plan for us, let us be an example, a testimony to those around us.
The third in our series on how to live as a believer once we are saved is:
Put on the full armor of God; Submit to God and resist the devil.
What does it mean to ‘put on the armor of God?’ and how do we do that? Spiritual battles are a part of a believer’s life. Not only do we have the battles within, the struggles between wanting to do what is right and desiring to do the things of this world contrary to the will of God, we also have an enemy who desires that we fail and not get close to God, and he wants to keep others from coming to God. He will use those desires and your weaknesses to come after you. But, we can resist him and we have the weapons to do it. Continue reading “The Armor of God”
