Who or what do we worship? Is there more than one way to get to heaven or to be with God? Can we have access directly with God or must we go through someone or something else or do certain things? There is no other way accept through Jesus. He is the only way. He is all we need to receive salvation. God’s Word is clear on this. It is my prayer that all of my friend, family and readers understand this. I pray that God gives me the understanding as I read (and write). I find that it is such a joy to learn about Him and I hope you will too. Continue reading “Only Jesus”

Confidence in Eternal Life
I was having a conversation the other day about someone we knew who had cancer. I mentioned that this person said that they were ready and knew where they were going. The reply was that we never know until the time comes. I was taken aback by that knowing what both of us were taught. I wish I had spoken up at the time to say what the gospel says about it, so i thought I would write about it here. I will have to pick it up with him again. After all, that is one of the most important questions to ask yourself. Do you know where you are going after this life? The Bible says, “yes!” Continue reading “Confidence in Eternal Life”
Salvation to the Jews
I am so thankful that God has allowed gentiles to be part of His kingdom. Salvation is offered to all. Although Israel has rejected Jesus Christ, there are still some who believe and God has promised a blessing to His Chosen People, Israel. Some tink the Christian church has replaced Israel, but that is not what the Bible says. God will always love them. He made a covenant with them. Jesus said that salvation is of the Jews. Let us do what we can to support Israel and pray for them. Pray that they will see the truth, that Jesus is Messiah. Salvation is offered to all. Continue reading “Salvation to the Jews”
Jesus and the Gentiles
In our previous discussion, we talked about what the apostles said about salvation to the Gentiles. God offers salvation to each one of us, if we accept His gift of grace and believe in Jesus Christ, that He took all of our sins to the cross and paid the full penalty. He died and rose again that we may be saved, the Jew and gentile alike. Jesus came to this world for that very purpose. Continue reading “Jesus and the Gentiles”
Salvation to Gentiles
Long ago God had a plan to give salvation to the world. Israel was God’s chosen people. But He did not stop there. He promised Abraham not only would his descendants become a great nation, but that all people would be blessed through him. Jesus Christ came into this world, as a descendant of Abraham, fully human and fully God, to save the world. Time and time again, Israel rejected God. But in His mercy He still loved them and gave them hope. Many rejected Christ as well, but God in His grace offered salvation through Jesus Christ to Jews and non-Jews alike. The gospel was spread through the apostles and He chose Paul specifically to preach to the Gentiles to bring salvation to them. To us! What an honor to be part of God’s family. I am so grateful that He offered eternal life to me, a gentile, a sinner. But through Jesus blood, I am declared righteous.
In this post we will look at the words of the apostles of how salvation can be obtained by the “uncircumcised,” the gentiles. The next post we will see what Jesus said about it. Continue reading “Salvation to Gentiles”
