As we continue with the Fruit of the Spirit, we will talk about kindness. Kindness can have such an impact in people’s lives. Even a smile can brighten a person’s day. I think along with that is generosity which is a form of kindness. Helping others in need. Giving a kind word. Standing up for those who are not strong enough to stand up for themselves. This can go a long way in changing a person’s outlook on life and changing an attitude, both for the giver and the receiver.

The previous posts we talked about hope and faith and how they were intertwined. I also mentioned that faith was part of the fruit of the Spirit, so I thought it would be interesting to go through each one. Let’s examine each component of the fruit of the Spirit. Again notice fruit is singular. We who are in Christ have all of these, not just one, or a few.

What does the Bible say about marriage and relationships? I am no expert (if you want good, expert advice, try Focus on the Family or Family Life Today) and I have many flaws as a husband, but I try to follow what God says how to treat my wife and others. I often fail, but I try. I hope this post will encourage you, whether married or single. The Tongue is a Powerful Tool
Words can be powerful. They can be used to get important points across. They can be used to bless. They are often used to hurt and sometimes they hurt unintentionally. On one hand people need to know the truth even when it hurts. But also it must always be in love. Sometimes we need to think of others’ feeling with what we say. The devil uses the tactic of twisting words so that we say things we don’t mean or the words are misinterpreted, and both can cause relationship breakdowns.
