God Our Righteousness

God is good. He is righteous. Bible talks about His righteousness and how our aim should be more like him. To be righteous in His sight. But, we all fall short. He does not. However, Jesus made that sacrifice on the cross so that we can be declared righteous. Thank God for that. This is why He was called Yahweh Tsidkenu or a variation of this in Hebrew, which is “God Our Righteousness.”

Jesus and the Gentiles

As we continue our study of Jesus in the Old and New Testaments, we will talk about prophecies of the Messiah coming to save all nations, Jews and Gentiles alike. God is a God of all, not just Israel. He created the whole world and everything in it. He created mankind in His own image, and He loves each and every one of us. He sent His Son to pay for all of our sins and be a sacrifice for all. Jesus is the Redeemer of everyone. All who believe. No exceptions. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16).

Come to Dinner

Jesus told a few different parables about someone inviting his friends to dinner. One was about those you would expect to go, but they made excuses, so others are invited. So what is Jesus talking about in these three parables? Let’s discuss them.

I AM’s…The Resurrection

The next “I AM” begins with the story of Lazarus, one of Jesus’ closest friends.  Lazarus became very sick, but it was time Jesus showed His power and glory and He was going to do more than heal.  (spoiler alert!)  He was going to raise him from the dead!  Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life.

Salvation to the Jews

I am so thankful that God has allowed gentiles to be part of His kingdom.  Salvation is offered to all.  Although Israel has rejected Jesus Christ, there are still some who believe and God has promised a blessing to His Chosen People, Israel.  Some tink the Christian church has replaced Israel, but that is not what the Bible says.  God will always love them.  He made a covenant with them.  Jesus said that salvation is of the Jews.  Let us do what we can to support Israel and pray for them.  Pray that they will see the truth, that Jesus is Messiah.  Salvation is offered to all.
