I Can Do All Things…

Most people know Philippians 4:13.  But do we understand what it means?  Out of context, its meaning can be much different from what it was intended.  Just like any scripture, read at least the entire chapter.  Who is the author speaking to?  What is the theme and setting of the book?  Thanksgiving has just past.  It is a time of giving thanks for all that we have.  We should be grateful in good times and bad, because God has blessed us in so many ways, sometimes we don’t even realize it until later in life.  So, what does Thanksgiving have to do with what Paul was talking about in his letter to the Philippians, anyway? God’s Promises: Comfort and Strength

In our weakness, God gives us strength.  When we struggle, He comforts us.  We will go through hardship; we will have times of weakness.  He doesn’t keep us from those times, He helps us to get through them.  He is always there for us, even when we don’t realize it.  The Spirit will guide us and strengthen us and pray for us.
