Have faith

We all have faith in something. What or whom do you have faith in? What is faith? In our last discussion we talked about hope, and hope is closely related to faith. Without faith there is no hope. With faith, we can do many things. Through faith in God, we can move mountains. We have hope. And our hope is in the Lord.

What Do You Hope For?

This is the season of hope. What are you hoping for? A nice gift? Quality time with the family? The greatest gift was given to us some 2000 years ago. The gift of hope. The gift of salvation. The gift of grace. God gave each of us the opportunity to accept that gift. That is hope. It’s not just a wish. It’s confidence, trust, expectation. The World We Live In

When the Bible talks about “the world” what does that mean? We live in a world full of people. We live in a world full of trouble. Jesus’ Life and Death in the Old and New Testaments

Jesus is the most talked about person in the history of the world. Why is that? Why so much controversy? Many people love Him, and many people hate Him? Why? It is hard to dispute He existed, though many do. Many doubt that He is who He says He is. But He was written about throughout the Old Testament and many prophesies pointed to Him.

Philadelphia: Perseverance and Open Doors

The church of Philadelphia (which of course means brotherly love) is one of two churches that Jesus has nothing against. This is the kind of church we want to imitate. Of course, this is the kind of church that is probably attacked the most as well. As with the church of Philadelphia, we are to keep His word, stand strong in our faith, and persevere. We will go through trouble, but God is with us and He will open doors for us. As Paul says, nothing on this earth can compare to the glory that awaits us in heave and nothing can separate us from God’s love if we believe and trust in Him.
