Who Am I?

Who we are in Christ. That is a question many of us ask ourselves and if we remember this, we would not have the fear, doubt, shame, anxiety or lack of confidence that we often do. We would have the fruit of the Spirit…love, joy, peace…we would remember the hope that is in us. We would be encouraged knowing that we are His children, and we would have boldness to share with others so that they can have what we have. God gave us a gift, not only in the life to come but in the life we have now.

The Trinity: The Holy Spirit

Who is the Holy Spirit and what is His purpose? Sometimes I think we don’t really think much about the Holy Spirit. Sardis: Alive but Dead

The church of Sardis thought they were alive, but Jesus says they are dead. It sounds like an arrogant church. It sounds like a church that is wrapped up in works and ministry but neglect faith and love. It sounds like a church full of hypocrisy or one that just doesn’t understand the gospel. We as a church need to practice serving others, but it is not about making a name for ourselves, but giving God the glory and pointing others to Christ. And whatever we go through in this life will not compare to the glory we will receive in the next.

Light and Darkness

Light is so important in life and one of those things we sometimes take for granted. Without light we stumble. Without the light of the sun, plants would die, and we would not get the nutrients we need and the warmth for our bodies. Living in darkness would take its toll on our physical and psychological health. It is no wonder Jesus often talked about light and darkness and why Jesus is called The Light of the World.
