Laodicea: Today’s Church?

I went on several mission trips and one thing I noticed was the enthusiasm the people had in the church and the love they showed others. Then I think about the church here in America and how we seem to be like the church in Laodicea, complacent, stagnant, neither hot nor cold. Sure, a lot of churches do many good things and have ministries and missions that help others and meet their needs. But how much do we glorify God, help others and share the good news of His grace? How much are we willing to give up for Him and how much do we show our love for Him outside of Sunday services?

I AM’s…The Way, the Truth, the Life

There was a sermon a couple weeks ago about how Christianity is exclusive…yet very inclusive.  Jesus Christ offers salvation to ALL who believe.  If you trust in Jesus Christ, you will be saved.  No exceptions.  But it is ONLY through Jesus Christ.  There is no other way to heaven.  No other way to the Father.  Jesus is the only way.  Through Him we have eternal life.  That is the truth. Only Jesus

Who or what do we worship?  Is there more than one way to get to heaven or to be with God?  Can we have access directly with God or must we go through someone or something else or do certain things?  There is no other way accept through Jesus.  He is the only way.  He is all we need to receive salvation.  God’s Word is clear on this.  It is my prayer that all of my friend, family and readers understand this.  I pray that God gives me the understanding as I read (and write).  I find that it is such a joy to learn about Him and I hope you will too.
