As a follower of Jesus Christ, I am grateful for God’s promises. He always keeps His promises and I am especially thankful that He promised me eternal life. He promised that He will never leave me or forsake me. He promised me that the Holy Spirit indwells in me to guide me, convict me and pray for me. He promised to work in me to grow. He promised me understanding of God’s Word. He promised me that He would answer my prayers and provide my needs. As we read through the Bible, it is full of promises from God. There are many words of encouragement for the believer. We can learn of God’s character and who we are in Christ. We can learn how to live. I hope these scriptures give you encouragement this day and I hope you will be strengthened and inspired to follow Him wherever He leads you and to overcome any doubt or distraction, weakness or temptation that comes to you. Revelation: Who is God?
“Holy, holy, holy,
Lord God Almighty,
Who was and is and is to come!”…
“You are worthy, O Lord,
To receive glory and honor and power;
For You created all things,
And by Your will they exist and were created.” Revelation 4:8, 11
Who is God? What is His character and attributes? There are scriptures throughout the Bible that describe Him and who He is. For this post, I will use the Book of Revelation to try to share who God is. He is the great, almighty God who is worthy to receive all of our blessings and worship. He has given us everything. He created us and He loves us.
