Everybody wants peace. Inner peace. Peace of mind. Peaceful feelings. Peace on Earth. It doesn’t come from clearing your mind and doing all this mumbo jumbo you hear in the world today. It comes from a relationship with Jesus Christ. When you believe and accept His grace, the Holy Spirit will live in you and give you peace. Peace is part of the fruit of the Spirit.

I also mentioned that faith was part of the fruit of the Spirit, so I thought it would be interesting to go through each one. Let’s examine each component of the fruit of the Spirit. Again notice fruit is singular. We who are in Christ have all of these, not just one, or a few.

We all have faith in something. What or whom do you have faith in? What is faith? In our last discussion we talked about hope, and hope is closely related to faith. Without faith there is no hope. With faith, we can do many things. Through faith in God, we can move mountains. We have hope. And our hope is in the Lord.

Who is the Holy Spirit and what is His purpose? Sometimes I think we don’t really think much about the Holy Spirit. He doesn’t seem to have a physical form, He doesn’t have name (at least that we call Him), but He lives inside us and guides us. What is His purpose? Who is He? The Holy Spirit is probably the hardest of the Trinity to describe.
