Paul says pray without ceasing. No matter what the circumstance, good or bad, seek God…first. Praise Him. No matter what He will be with you. I think that is what Paul meant when he said, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” It doesn’t mean we can do everything, it means we can handle anything when we put the Lord first and we trust Him to take care of our needs. Jesus says do not worry because the Lord will provide.
Matt 6:25-34
“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
“So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
God’s word tells us that He will meet our needs. He will answer. It may not be the answer we are looking for, or he may want us to wait for the right timing. But He knows what is best and it is His will we should desire. Whether we realize it or not, He is there with us.
Matt 7:7-11
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!”
Our help always comes from the Lord. He is our strength. He is our provider. All blessings come from Him. Let us praise Him in return. When things are not going well, there is still so much to be thankful for. There is so much He has already done for us that we can never repay. Let us show gratitude for those things and remember what a great and awesome God we have. He created all things; He created you. He loves you. Bless the Lord!
Ps 66:1-9
Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth!
Sing out the honor of His name;
Make His praise glorious.
Say to God,
“How awesome are Your works!
Through the greatness of Your power
Your enemies shall submit themselves to You.
All the earth shall worship You
And sing praises to You;
They shall sing praises to Your name.”
Come and see the works of God;
He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men.
He turned the sea into dry land;
They went through the river on foot.
There we will rejoice in Him.
He rules by His power forever;
His eyes observe the nations;
Do not let the rebellious exalt themselves.
God always answers our prayers and always gives us strength. He always keeps His promise and He leads us when things get tough. As David say in Psalm 23, “though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for You are with me.” He can calm any storm we may go through, but sometimes, He allows us to go through them so that when we do, we will be stronger and we will be able to help other get through their troubles. It is my desire that no matter what you may be going through, no matter where you are in life, that the Lord will bless you and strengthen you and guide you and always know that He is with you if you trust in Him.
Ps 20:1-9
May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble;
May the name of the God of Jacob defend you;
May He send you help from the sanctuary,
And strengthen you out of Zion;
May He remember all your offerings,
And accept your burnt sacrifice.
May He grant you according to your heart’s desire,
And fulfill all your purpose.
We will rejoice in your salvation,
And in the name of our God we will set up our banners!
May the Lord fulfill all your petitions.
Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed;
He will answer him from His holy heaven
With the saving strength of His right hand.
Some trust in chariots, and some in horses;
But we will remember the name of the Lord our God.
They have bowed down and fallen;
But we have risen and stand upright.
Save, Lord!
May the King answer us when we call.
