Added to the scripture from the previous post (“God Save Us”), we are blessed to be reconciled to Christ, both by Jesus’ life and death. What unconditional love God has for us!
Today’s verse: Romans 5:8-11
But God demonstrates His own love toward us in that while we were sinners, Christ died for us. For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.
I was a sinner but now, through His grace I am saved, I am changed, I am free and I have more joy than I ever had. My joy comes from the Lord. No matter what circumstance I am in, my joy is complete. Nothing I could ever do would earn the gift He has given me (eternal life, abundant life). I still sin at times, but because of His faithfulness, I am forgiven and I am a changed man from who I was. I no longer live with selfish intent but I live for Christ. I want to be a “good and faithful servant” and I want everyone to know how wonderful it is to be a child of God. Thank you, Jesus!
