God Saves Us

Why do we need God? Why do we need salvation?  God sent His Son to die for us so that we can be saved.  Why?

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23

I wanted to start with this to remind people that no one is perfect. I am not perfect. I have many flaws. I am just like you. But, God is faithful and loves all of us. Romans 5:8 says, “But God demonstrates His own love toward us in that while we were sinners Christ died for us.” If we believe this with all our heart and turn to Him, we will be saved. Ephesians 2:8-9 says “For by grace we have been saved through faith, and that not of ourselves; it is a gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. We are all equal in God’s eyes. None of us are saved by anything we do. We cannot earn salvation. It is God’s gift to us. It is what Jesus did on the cross that saves us and only through Him are we saved.  Praise God for all You do and for changing my life and my desires and giving me hope.
